Anne has been involved with the Elmet Conservative Association for many years; she was Chairman of the Women’s Committee for five years and has been Chairman of the Association on two previous occasions.Anne is currently the Yorkshire Regional County Chairman of Action Medical Research. Action Medical Research raises money for research into all aspects of crippling diseases; it funded the first UK polio vaccine, the artificial hip replacement, ultrasound and many other life enhancing projects which prevent and alleviate suffering for thousands of people.
 
Anne served for 12 years on the Leeds Advisory Committee for the appointment of Magistrates, she retired in February 2008.  Anne is the Chairman of the North East Committee of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies.  Other responsibilities include Chairman of the Leeds DFAS committee for three years, and Anne has just finished a six year term as a Churchwarden at All Saints' Church Bramham.
 
Anne is currently Chairman of the Lower Wharfe Group of Parishes Group Council and is on the organising committee of the Bramham Park Family Fun Day held in July every year.
